This batting is perfect for smaller projects such as placemats, bags, and mug rugs, or for trying out this product in a quilt sample.
Crafted with bleached 100% cotton fibers and fine white polyester fibers, this wadding offers a very white appearance that will keep quilts made with white or light-coloured fabrics looking bright and beautiful. Its strength, durability, colour, loft and finish are renowned in the quilting community.
The Hobbs Heirloom Premium 80/20 Bleached Cotton Blend Batting is lightly bonded and needle-punched for exceptional strength and durability, and is also machine-washable. It can be quilted by hand or machine, with close quilting yielding a flat, low-loft appearance, while more space between stitching lines will give a slightly higher loft.
When using this batting, we recommend quilting or stitching every 4" inches or closer, and quilters may experience shrinkage of 3-5%. It is important to spend time learning about this product before using it on a project, and we recommend making samples using this batting to see how it needles, both by hand and by machine, to ensure it delivers the desired results.

Washing Instructions for Finished Quilt
Always wash in cold to warm water. Not recommended to wash in hot water.
It is recommended to air dry, though a finished quilted item can be tumble dried in a drier on air to warm setting.
