About Us

Morris Works is an independent UK quilting shop that began online and found a home in Brighton & Hove — so whether you visit us in person or shop from your sofa, you're equally welcome.

We started because shopping for quilting supplies online didn't feel the way it should. Orders arrived in plastic, questions and queries went unanswered, and the whole experience felt oddly disconnected from something so personal and considered.

We thought it could be done better. So we do it better.

That means packaging with no plastic, fast dispatch, and a team that genuinely understands quilting — the materials, the process, and how much it all matters. Every order is packed with care, every question answered. When things occasionally go wrong, we put them right, quickly and fairly.

Behind Morris Works is Gabrielle Morris — Gabe — originally from Canada, an avid quilter quietly obsessed with wadding, colour, and making the most of every scrap. We also host quilt groups and workshops at our Hove studio, and publish weekly articles on topics that don't always get the attention they deserve. Because this has always been about more than fabric.
