The perfect batting for quilts with white or very light-colored fabrics.

Hobbs Heirloom Premium 80/20 Bleached Cotton Wadding, the ideal batting for quilters who work with white or very light-coloured quilts. Our premium blend of bleached 100% cotton fibers and fine white polyester fibers produces a very white wadding that will keep your white or light-coloured fabrics bright and beautiful for years to come.

This wadding is renowned for its strength, durability, colour, loft and finish. It's lightly bonded and needle-punched for exceptional strength and durability, and it's machine-washable for added convenience. Whether you prefer quilting by hand or machine, this wadding is easy to work with and delivers outstanding results.

Close quilting yields a flat, low-loft appearance, while more space between stitching lines yields a slightly higher loft. We recommend quilting or stitching every 4 inches or closer, and quilters may experience shrinkage of 3-5%. It's important to spend time learning about this product before using it on a project, making samples to see how it needles by hand and by machine to achieve the desired results.

Our Hobbs Heirloom Premium 80/20 Bleached Cotton Wadding is cut to length by the ½ metre and shipped in 100% plastic-free packaging. We do not recommend pre-washing this or any of our other quality batting products.

Washing Instructions for Finished Quilt
Always wash in cold to warm water. Not recommended to wash in hot water.
It is recommended to air dry, though a finished quilted item can be tumble dried in a drier on air to warm setting.
