In this one-day class, you’ll explore how thoughtful fabric selection and placement can dramatically elevate your EPP blocks and quilts. With guidance from Kerry, you’ll discover how to push beyond simple hexagons and combine shapes to achieve stunning results.
What you’ll learn
This class assumes you already understand the fundamentals of EPP, such as basting and stitching shapes. Building on that foundation, you’ll learn how to:
- Choose fabrics for fussy cutting with minimal waste
- Spot patterns and repeats in fabric designs
- Create secondary designs and kaleidoscope effects
- Select threads and colour match effectively
- Mix and combine different shapes to enhance your patchwork
What to bring
A full supply list will be sent after booking, but we recommend selecting 6–8 fabrics with repeating motifs that work well together. Please bring your hand-sewing kit, including needles, thread, and scissors. If you need anything, our shop has a wide selection of fabrics, EPP papers, and tools available for purchase before the class.
