Matilda’s Own White 100% Cotton Quilt Wadding is made from a premium selection of Australian cotton, designed specifically for projects where a clean, bright white is essential. Whether you’re working with white or light-coloured fabrics, this wadding provides a seamless foundation that won’t dull your finished quilt.

This wadding is needle punched with a fine scrim, which locks the fibres in place and helps prevent bearding. It’s soft, smooth, and easy to handle—whether you’re quilting by hand or machine. With a recommended stitch distance of up to 10 inches, it offers the flexibility to work across a wide range of quilting styles and densities.

As with all Matilda’s Own waddings, this product contains no resins, sprays, glues, or bonding agents, making it a breathable and allergy-friendly choice. The cotton is also seed-free and carefully selected to provide a gentle loft, giving your quilt a traditional drape and feel.

We offer this white cotton quilt wadding in two versatile formats:

• Cut to Length (sold in ½ metre increments, 94" wide): Perfect for custom projects or when you need a specific size.

• Baby Size (48" x 60"): Ideal for cot quilts, lap quilts, small throws, and quick makes.

Both options are cut in-house at our studio and shipped in plastic-free packaging.
