How to Choose

  • Permanence: Most spray adhesives are temporary/repositionable for basting; we also stock a heat-activated permanent spray. Fusible webs bond permanently when pressed; fabric glues & sticks range from temporary to wash-resistant. Please read each product’s details for the exact bond type and stitch-ability (all are fabric-safe and washable).
  • Project type: For quilt layering and EPP, choose temporary sprays or glue sticks for easy repositioning. For bags and appliqué, opt for stronger bonds such as fusible web or specialist fabric glues.
  • Application method: Aerosol spray covers large areas quickly; paper-backed fusible web lets you trace and cut precise shapes; pens/sticks give controlled lines for seams and labels.
  • Sewability: Our sewable options are designed not to gum needles when used as directed. Apply sparingly and test on a scrap if you’re new to a product.

For soft quilt appliqué, choose a lightweight fusible web or a fine glue stick. For bag panels and badges, step up to a sturdier fusible web or a specialist fabric glue for extra hold.
