Linen Texture by Makower UK combines the practicality of 100% cotton quilting fabric with the look of a softly woven linen. Its fine crosshatched design adds subtle texture across the surface, creating depth and movement while still allowing each fabric to read as a single colour.

With an impressive palette of 68 colours, Linen Texture is a wonderfully versatile blender for quilts that need colour without another competing print.

The Look of Linen in Quilting Cotton

The beauty of Linen Texture is in its simplicity. Fine printed lines run across the fabric in different directions, creating the suggestion of woven threads and giving each colour a little more character than a completely plain cotton.

It works particularly well alongside patterned fabrics, where the subtle texture can provide contrast and somewhere for the eye to rest. Use it for backgrounds, borders, sashing and binding, or introduce several colours to build gradients and explore changes in value across a quilt.

The linen-style print also makes Linen Texture an excellent choice when you want a more natural or softly textured appearance without changing fabric substrates. Because it is 100% cotton quilting fabric, it can be pieced and quilted just as you would the other quilting cottons in your project.
