Matilda's Own 70/30 Cotton Blend

Matilda’s Own 70/30 Cotton Blend Wadding is a beautifully balanced quilt batting made from 70% premium cotton and 30% fine polyester. Designed and manufactured in Australia, this blend offers a slightly higher loft than 100% cotton while maintaining a traditional look and feel. It’s soft, breathable, and wonderfully easy to needle—ideal for both hand and machine quilting.

Unlike many other waddings, this product contains no scrim, which means needles glide smoothly through the layers with minimal resistance. That makes it a favourite for quilters who enjoy a smooth stitch and consistent texture. With a recommended quilting distance of 6 to 8 inches, it suits a wide range of designs and finishes.

This wadding is also hypoallergenic, made without resins, sprays, glues or bonding agents. Whether you're creating a family heirloom or a cosy everyday quilt, this blend is designed for durability, drape, and comfort.
