Fabric Pre Cuts
Pre cut quilting fabric makes it easy to start creating without measuring and cutting everything from the bolt. Shop ready-to-sew fabric pre cuts including 5" charm squares, 10" squares, 2½" mini charms and 2½" fabric strip rolls, the pre-cut format many quilters know as jelly rolls, with coordinated fabrics already cut into useful patchwork sizes.
Choose from manufacturer-cut packs featuring complete fabric collections and our own Morris Works studio-cut pre cuts, prepared in-house from fabrics in our shop. Whether you're following a pattern designed around a particular pre-cut size or simply want a coordinated selection of fabrics to play with, they're a wonderfully practical way to buy quilting cotton.

Choosing the Right Fabric Pre Cut
Not sure which pre-cut size you need? Each format lends itself to slightly different styles of patchwork, although there are no rules about what you can create with them. Pre cuts are also a lovely way to work with a coordinated group of fabrics without buying larger cuts of every print.
Our range includes both manufacturer-cut packs and Morris Works studio-cut pre cuts, which we cut ourselves from fabrics in the shop.

Fabric Pre Cuts - Frequently Asked Questions
There are several commonly used sizes. Charm squares measure 5" square, while 10" squares measure 10" square. Mini charms are small 2½" squares, and fabric strip rolls contain 2½"-wide strips, usually cut across the width of the fabric.
The number of pieces in a pack can vary by manufacturer or collection, so always check the individual product description to see exactly what is included.
Manufacturer-cut pre cuts arrive with us already cut and packaged by the fabric manufacturer. They will have pinked edges. Our studio-cut pre cuts are prepared here at Morris Works, allowing us to create useful packs and combinations from fabrics available in our shop. Our Studio Cuts always have straight edges.
We clearly identify our studio-cut packs in the product description, along with the number and size of pieces you'll receive.
Jelly Roll® is Moda Fabrics' registered trademark for its 2½" pre-cut fabric strip rolls. Other manufacturers use different names for the same general style of pre cut, although many quilters use “jelly roll” as a familiar search term when looking for 2½" fabric strips.
You'll find ours described as 2½" Strip Rolls, as we stock rolls from a variety of fabric manufacturers as well as rolls cut here in our studio. If you've been searching for jelly roll fabric, this is the format you're looking for.
Sometimes, but not always. Manufacturer-cut packs often contain fabrics from a single collection, sometimes with one or more pieces of each design. The exact contents depend on the collection and manufacturer.
