Measuring 72" x 108" (183 x 274 cm), this wadding is ideal for UK Single bed quilts (or Twin size in North America) and offers a luxurious quilting experience from start to finish. Made from the finest superwashed wool, it’s breathable and lightweight—cosy in winter, yet still comfortable in warmer weather.
Thanks to the superwashing process, the wool fibres are smoother and less prone to shrinkage, while maintaining strength and resistance to bearding. You’ll love how beautifully it drapes and how clearly your stitching shows.
This wool batting can be quilted up to 4" apart and pairs especially well with medium to dark fabrics to avoid any shadowing from the natural wool colour. We always recommend testing it with your chosen fabric—especially if using pale tones—to check for any show-through.
Caring for your finished quilt is simple: hand washing is best, but it can be machine washed on a gentle cycle in cool water. Start drying in a cool tumble dryer (5–10 minutes), then lay flat to finish. Just steer clear of high heat or steam—wool doesn't like it and could felt.

Please ensure your quilting distance is no wider than 4 inches (10cm) apart.Care & Usage Tips
- Shrinkage: 3–5%
- Maximum Stitch Distance: 4" (10.2 cm)
- Suitable for both hand quilting and machine quilting
- Do not prewash. Use with care if washing the finished quilt on wool cycle or gentle setting. Only wash in cold or cool water. NEVER wash quilted items made with wool wadding in warm or hot water. It is recommended to air dry, though a finished quilted item can be tumble dried in a drier on air to cool setting.
