This highly sought-after wadding is known for its soft and luxurious feel, as well as its ability to showcase a quilter's piecing and stitching. Made from the finest superwashed wool, this lightweight and breathable batting is comfortable for use in all climates, even hot and humid ones. The superwashing process smooths the scales on the wool fibers, making it pleasant to the touch and less likely to shrink. Additionally, this product is strong and resists bearding and migration.
The Extra Large Crib Size Wadding Pack is ideal for lap quilts, cot or baby quilts, as well as quilted wall hangings. Quilters can stitch up to 4" apart and use it with medium or dark fabrics to prevent the natural wool color from showing through lighter fabrics. It is recommended that quilters test the batting with their chosen fabric(s) to ensure that darkening or shadowing will not be an issue.
To care for items made with this batting, they should be washed by hand in cool water and laid flat to dry. Alternatively, they may be machine-washed using a gentle cycle and cold/cool water, but heavy agitation or spin should be avoided. It is best to start the drying process in a cool/air-fluff dryer for 5-10 minutes, then lay the item flat to complete the drying process. It is important to never use high heat or steam with projects made with wool, as this can cause the wool to become felted and result in a dense, stiff batting that won't drape well.

Washing Instructions for Finished Quilt
Only wash in cold or cool water. NEVER wash quilted items made with wool wadding in warm or hot water.
It is recommended to air dry, though a finished quilted item can be tumble dried in a drier on air to cool setting.
