You can stitch up to 4" apart and use it with medium or dark fabrics to prevent the natural wool color from showing through lighter fabrics. It is recommended that you test the batting with your chosen fabric(s) to ensure that darkening or shadowing will not be an issue.
To care for items made with this batting, they should be washed by hand in cool water and laid flat to dry. Alternatively, you may machine-wash them using a gentle cycle and cold/cool water, but heavy agitation or spin should be avoided. Start the drying process in a cool/air-fluff dryer for 5-10 minutes, then lay the item flat to complete the drying process. Avoid using high heat or steam, as this can cause the wool to become felted and result in a dense, stiff batting that won't drape well.
