Made from the finest, clean, natural (unbleached), long-staple, virgin cotton available, this non-allergenic batting proudly displays the Cotton Incorporated Seal, ensuring that you're getting a top-quality product. It's perfect for quilters who prefer using a natural cotton wadding, and it gets even softer with each washing, making it an excellent choice for those who desire exceptional softness.
Hobbs Heirloom Natural 100% Cotton Batting/Wadding is designed to be perfect for medium or dark fabrics, but please note that it can slightly darken white or light-colored fabrics. If you're pairing it with light-colored fabrics, it's a good idea to test it first.
This wadding can be stitched up to 4" apart either by hand or by machine and is machine washable (once quilted). It's expected to shrink 3-5% after washing, so keep that in mind when planning your quilt. Please note that pre-washing is not recommended for this or any of our other quality wadding products.

Pre-Wash
Pre-washing is not recommended for this or any of the Hobbs wadding/batting products.
Washing Instructions for Finished Quilt
Always wash in cold or cool water. Expect additional shrinkage if washed in warm water. Not recommended to wash in hot water.
It is recommended to air dry, though a finished quilted item can be tumble dried in a drier on air to cool setting.
Important Information
Basting spray is not recommended for use with the wadding, as repositioning the top and bottom fabrics can pull apart the cotton.
