The Hobbs Heirloom Premium 80/20 Bleached Cotton Wadding in a 7.5m roll is the perfect choice for quilters who love to work with white or very light-coloured fabrics. This premium wadding is made with bleached 100% cotton fibers, blended with fine white polyester fibers, resulting in a highly white wadding that keeps quilts made with white or light-colored fabrics looking bright and beautiful.
Hobbs Heirloom Premium 80/20 Bleached Cotton Blend Batting is renowned for its exceptional strength, durability, colour, loft and finish. It is manufactured in the same manner as Hobbs Heirloom Premium 80/20 (Natural) Cotton/ Poly Blend Batting - lightly bonded and needle-punched for excellent strength and durability. It is also machine-washable, making it ideal for everyday use.
Quilting with this wadding is a joy, whether by hand or machine. Close quilting produces a flat, low-loft appearance, while more space between stitching lines creates a slightly higher loft. Quilters should aim to stitch every 4 inches or closer, and they may experience shrinkage of 3-5%. We recommend spending time learning about this product before using it on a project and making samples to see how it needles, both by hand and machine, to ensure it delivers the desired results.
