    • Smitten Chicken

    Sweet, cheerful and full of country charm, the Smitten Chicken Collection by Nutex brings together a playful mix of tiny florals, ginghams, stripes and love-inspired coordinates in a fresh palette of red, pink and white.

    There’s a lovely nostalgic feel running through the collection. Classic gingham is given a pretty twist with tiny daisy details, while delicate scattered florals add softness and colour. Flower Chain combines neat geometric lines with little floral motifs, and Zig Zag Stripe offers a simple coordinate with just enough movement to keep things interesting.

    Then there’s Tic Tac Love, a particularly fun little print featuring hearts, crosses and circles. It adds a playful nod to hugs and kisses without making the collection feel overly themed.

    The small scale of these designs makes Smitten Chicken wonderfully useful for patchwork and quilting. They’ll hold their detail beautifully when cut into smaller pieces, making them well suited to traditional piecing, English paper piecing, appliqué, borders and bindings. The mix of florals, checks, stripes and geometric designs also gives you plenty of opportunity to play with pattern while keeping a cohesive colour palette.

    Made from 100% cotton, these fabrics are also a lovely choice for bag making, accessories, fabric baskets and other smaller sewing projects.
