Class Details
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Duration: 3 hours
Class Size: Limited to 6
Outcome: Open format—work on your own project with expert guidance
What You'll Learn
Each session is shaped around your quilting journey. Whether you're looking to strengthen core techniques or tackle a specific challenge in your current project, this open-format class allows you to focus on the areas most relevant to you.
You’ll bring along the project you're working on—whether that’s a stack of patchwork blocks, a quilt top ready to be basted, or an idea you’re eager to begin—and receive tailored guidance and tutorage based on your needs and goals.
Instruction is always based on what you already know, building your confidence and skills step by step. You might spend the session refining your ¼-inch seam, learning how to piece more efficiently, experimenting with machine quilting techniques, or getting help reading a pattern or using a template.
Examples include:
-
Help with a particular stage in your quilt—cutting, piecing, assembly, quilting, or binding
-
Understanding and correcting common issues like wonky seams, inconsistent block sizes, or bulky seam intersections
-
Guidance with interpreting patterns, using rulers or stencils, or getting started on a new technique
-
Exploring methods you haven’t tried before, with step-by-step instruction and hands-on demonstrations
It’s your time, your project, and your pace—with friendly, expert support every step of the way.
