Requirements
We do require that you have some basic knowledge in using a sewing machine (e.g., threading, basic stitching). We will provide an overview on the specific features of our sewing machines in the first class.
You will also need the fabric and wadding for this course. We do offer a curated bundle designed for this course which can be purchased separately, please select this option above when making your purchase.
Alternatively, you can bring or purchase your own fabric colours / patterns and wadding. NOTE: We do require you to have this in hand before the beginning of class.
If you do choose to bring or purchase your own fabric and wadding, here is the fabric list you will need:
- Fat 8th or ¼ metre of 6 Main Fabrics for the blocks: In our quilt image on this page, we have used a light and a dark fabric in each pink, green and blue.
- ½ metre of Main Feature Fabric. In our quilt image on this page, we have used a yellow. This will be used for some of the blocks and the outer border.
- ½ metre of Background Fabric. In our quilt image on this page, we have used a plain white fabric. This will be used for some of the blocks and the sashing.
- ½ metre of Dark Feature Fabric. In our quilt image on this page, we have used a dark grey fabric. This will be used for some of the blocks and the inner border.
- ½ metre of backing fabric. This will be the fabric you will use on the back of the quilt. In our kit, we include the dark blue fabric in the fabric image.
- 45" x 45" piece of quilt wadding or a Throw / Baby size pre-cut wadding pack. Any quilt wadding we stock in this size will work for your project.
