Welcome to the Brighton Seaside Quilters, a friendly and welcoming quilting group for enthusiasts of all skill levels. Whether you’re an experienced quilter or just getting started, this is the perfect place to connect with other quilters, work on your projects, and share ideas in a relaxed and creative environment.
About the Group
The Brighton Seaside Quilters has 2 meet up times a month at the Morris Works Quilt Shop. Our purpose-built quilting space is equipped with large cutting mats, an ironing station, and plenty of room to spread out and work on your projects. Bring your sewing machine, tools, and supplies, and enjoy an afternoon sewing and chatting with like-minded quilters.
We provide tea, coffee, and biscuits to keep you fuelled as you sew, and there’s always an opportunity to share ideas, tips, and techniques with fellow quilters.
This is a casual, social gathering, so there’s no set project or instruction—simply bring what you’re working on and enjoy the company of others who share your passion for quilting.
Meeting Times
We meet at Morris Works Quilt Shop located at 2 Chapel Mews, Hove BN3 1AR. Our 2 meet up times are:
- Last Sunday of Every Month: 11am – 2:30pm
- Second Wednesday of Every Month: 1:30pm – 5pm
Flexible Attendance
We offer both Drop-In and Annual Membership options to suit your schedule. Drop-in sessions are £10 per session, while an annual membership are £60 and includes 12 sessions within 12 months.
If you choose an annual membership, you can select the session day that suits you best—either Wednesdays or Sundays. However, if you need to switch your regular day for a particular month, just let us know at least 48 hours in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability.
What to Bring
- Your current quilting project(s).
- A sewing machine, if needed, along with tools and supplies.
- Any fabrics or notions required for your work.
We’ll have a cutting station with large cutting mats and an ironing station with an iron available for group use. If you have a smaller cutting mat or ironing pad you like to have near you, feel free to bring it along!
Need to Borrow a Sewing Machine?
If you’re unable to bring your own sewing machine, we have Janome M100 QDC class machines available for use.
Each machine comes with an extension table, will be threaded with white cotton thread, and ready for you when you arrive. Simply select this option when you book, and we’ll have everything prepared for your visit.
