Product Description
Brighton Seaside Quilters Drop-In Sessions
Our Drop-In Quilting Sessions are ideal for non-members who want to enjoy a friendly, creative atmosphere on a flexible basis. Whether you’re a local quilter or visiting Brighton & Hove for a trip or extended stay, booking a spot in one of our sessions is a great way to connect with like-minded quilters and make the most of your time here.
This is a casual, social gathering, so there’s no set project or instruction—simply bring what you’re working on and enjoy the company of others who share your passion for quilting.
What’s Included in a Drop-In Session
Drop-in attendees can enjoy:
- Shared Use of the large cutting table and ironing station.
- Free Refreshments: Tea, coffee, and biscuits to keep you energised.
- 5% Loyalty Credit: Earn 5% store credit on all purchases at Morris Works Quilt Shop.
Important Information for Drop-Ins
- Availability Basis Only: Drop-in spots are offered when space is available. Once a session reaches full capacity, drop-in spaces for that date will no longer be available.
- No Guaranteed Spot: Membership guarantees a reserved spot, but drop-ins are subject to availability, based on a first come basis.
- No Member Perks: Drop-ins do not include special offers or exclusive member promotions.
What to Bring
- Your current quilting project(s).
- A sewing machine, if needed, along with tools and supplies.
- Any fabrics or notions required for your work.
We’ll have a cutting station with large cutting mats and an ironing station with an iron available for group use. If you have a smaller cutting mat or ironing pad you like to have near you, feel free to bring it along!
Need to Borrow a Sewing Machine?
If you’re unable to bring your own sewing machine, we have Janome M100 QDC class machines available for use. The machine comes with:
- Extension table for extra workspace.
- Pre-threaded with Aurifil 50wt white thread (top and bobbin).
- A selection of quilting feet, including:
- ¼” Seam foot
- Ditch Quilting foot
- Open Toe Satin Stitch foot
- Walking foot & Quilt Guide
- Free Motion Quilting (Darning) foot
If you’d like to use a different thread colour, please bring your own. We ask that only high-quality sewing threads (such as Aurifil, Gutermann, Madeira, or Mettler) be used to maintain the health of our machines.
If you would like to use one of our machines, simply select this option when you book, and we’ll have everything prepared for your visit.
