Product Description
Pink Stripe with Gold Teeth & Pull | No.5 Continuous Zip
Quietly smart with a playful twist, this size 5 continuous zipper tape in Pink Stripe with Gold brings a crisp, tailored finish to bags and accessories. The tape features a fine soft pink with white stripe and a metal-look gold coil, giving you the visual pop of hardware without the weight or rigidity of metal teeth. Sold by the ½ metre, your order is supplied in one continuous length when you purchase multiples, so you can cut exactly what each length or opening requires. Each ½ metre includes one matching #5 teardrop ring pull; add extra pulls if you’d like double sliders or multiple shorter zips from the same length.
Engineered for practical making, nylon coil is smooth to stitch and gentle on domestic needles. It curves neatly around curves, sits flat under top-stitching, and handles everyday use with ease. Size 5 (5 mm) offers that “bag-worthy” substance—reassuring for main openings—while remaining flexible for pouches, organisers, wash bags and craft storage. The gold coil coordinates beautifully with gold-tone D-rings, sliders, and swivel hooks, helping you carry a consistent hardware story through your project.
Because this is continuous zip, you’re in control. Feed sliders from either direction to create single- or double-pull zips, trim to your required size, and finish ends to suit your pattern. The striped Pink Stripe with Gold tape adds a subtle textural detail that reads refined rather than loud—easy to pair with blush, natural linen, crisp white, or charcoal solids.

Maker’s notes
-
Use a zipper foot and a steady, moderate stitch length for parallel top-stitching.
-
Basting tape keeps layers aligned; press lightly from the wrong side if needed.
-
You can stitch across nylon coil when a pattern requires it; avoid this on metal teeth.
-
To finish short ends, fold back the tape and stitch, or apply fray-prevention.
If you favour components that support good workmanship and lend a quiet polish, this Pink Stripe with Gold, Size 5 continuous zip earns its place in your notions kit—flexible, easy to handle, and ready to coordinate with gold-tone hardware for a cohesive, professional result.

✨ Attaching a Zipper Pull
- Separate the ends of the zip tape by a few centimetres to give yourself space.
- Place the slider so the flat side faces upward and the curved side points down.
- Insert the first side of the tape into the slider until it catches.
- Line up the second side carefully and feed it into the opposite channel.
- Push both sides in gently until the teeth begin to mesh.
- Slide the pull along the tape to check it’s secure and moving smoothly.
✂️ Snip Snip Tip: For easier threading, cut about 5 mm of the zipper teeth off one side of the tape. Feed the longer side with the teeth into the slider first, then the trimmed side — the stagger helps the pull catch and align cleanly.
Alternative: Trimming both ends of the tape on a slight angle can also help. Seal the cut edges with a quick pass of heat or fray stop to prevent unravelling.
