Matilda's Own Wool Poly Blend Wadding offers the perfect combination of wool’s natural warmth and polyester’s added durability. This pre-cut baby-size wadding measures 48" x 60" (122cm x 152cm), making it ideal for smaller quilts such as cot quilts, lap quilts, and small throws.
Made from a 60% wool and 40% polyester blend, this wadding offers excellent loft while remaining breathable and lightweight. Wool provides warmth without excessive weight, while polyester enhances durability and stability, helping your quilt maintain its shape over time. This makes it a great choice for both everyday-use quilts and heirloom projects.
This wadding is needle-punched with a fine scrim to prevent bearding and ensure even stitching. It features an approximate loft of ⅛+ inch (0.3+ cm) and a maximum stitch distance of 10" (25.4 cm), making it suitable for both hand and machine quilting. Prewashed and preshrunk, it has minimal shrinkage (2.5%) and is fully machine washable for easy care.

Washing Instructions for Finished Quilt
Always wash in cold to warm water. Not recommended to wash in hot water.
It is recommended to air dry, though a finished quilted item can be tumble dried in a drier on air to warm setting.
