Matilda's Own 100% Wool Wadding provides exceptional warmth, breathability, and comfort. This pre-cut baby-size wadding measures 48" x 60" (122cm x 152cm), making it ideal for smaller quilts such as cot quilts, lap quilts, and small throws.
Made from premium Australian wool, this wadding naturally wicks moisture away, helping to regulate body temperature and provide a cosy feel. Wool’s natural breathability prevents overheating, making it an excellent choice for baby quilts and lightweight bedding. The soft texture ensures a smooth quilting experience, whether stitched by hand or machine.
Needle-punched with a fine scrim, this wadding prevents bearding and offers structural integrity. With an approximate loft of ⅛+ inch (0.3+ cm) and a maximum stitch or tie distance of 10" (25.4 cm), it provides excellent durability and flexibility in quilting designs. Prewashed and preshrunk, it has a low shrinkage rate of just 2.5% and is machine washable for easy maintenance.

Washing Instructions for Finished Quilt
Always wash in cold to warm water. Not recommended to wash in hot water.
It is recommended to air dry, though a finished quilted item can be tumble dried in a drier on air to warm setting.
