Matilda's Own 50/50 Bamboo & Cotton Wadding combines 50% bamboo-derived fibre with 50% cotton, creating a beautifully soft, low-loft wadding with the added stability of cotton. This pre-cut baby-size wadding measures 48" x 60" (122cm x 152cm), making it ideal for smaller projects including cot quilts, lap quilts and small throws. A beautifully soft choice for quilts created for new babies.
The blend combines the smooth, soft handle and drape associated with bamboo wadding with the familiar qualities of cotton. Lightweight without adding unnecessary bulk, it creates a soft and comfortable finished quilt while the cotton adds stability to the blend.
Needle-punched for stability, this low-loft wadding holds together well during handling and quilting while remaining soft and easy to needle. Care & Usage Tips
- Shrinkage: 2.5%
- Maximum Stitch Distance: 10" (25 cm)
- Suitable for both hand quilting and machine quilting
- Prewash not required. Recommended to wash in cold or cool water. Note that if washed in warm or hot water, additional shrinkage will happen, resulting in a very crinkled look. It is always recommended to air dry, though a finished quilted item can be tumble dried in a drier on a cool setting.
