Eggplant from the Spritz 2 collection by Andover Fabrics is a deep aubergine quilting cotton with a beautifully understated tonal design. Tiny lighter dots gather into soft bursts before fading across the fabric, creating subtle movement and texture without overwhelming surrounding prints. Dark, sophisticated and highly versatile, it works as a textured alternative to a solid while adding depth and richness to patchwork projects.
This rich purple blender pairs effortlessly with jewel tones, autumn palettes and floral collections, making it an excellent choice for quilt blocks, borders, binding, backgrounds and sashing. It complements plum, raspberry, teal, indigo and warm gold beautifully, while also providing striking contrast alongside creams, blush pinks and lighter lilacs. The understated dot pattern brings visual interest to appliqué, English Paper Piecing and smaller pieced designs without competing with more detailed fabrics.

This fabric is sold by the ¼ metre, to order 1 full metre, enter a quantity of 4. Quantities of 2 or more will be cut as one continuous piece.

Up to the first metre of fabric, we cut every ¼ metre increment up to 10" / 25.4cm. ¼ metre - Long Quarter: 10" wide by WOF, order quantity of 1, choose Long Quarter cut ¼ metre - Fat Quarter: 20" wide by ½ WOF, order quantity of 1, choose Fat Quarter cut ½ Metre: 20" wide by WOF, order quantity of 2 ¾ Metre: 30" wide by WOF, order quantity of 3 1 Metre: 40" wide by WOF, order quantity of 4 |
All quantities greater than 1 metre of fabric are cut to metric measurement. For example, 1.25 metre is cut to 49.2 inches / 125cm.
Care
This fabric is 100% cotton with a printed design. Manufacturer recommends to wash at 30 degrees or cooler. This fabric can be tumble dried on low-medium heat. The estimated shrinkage is between 3 - 5%.
