Dispatch Times

At Morris Works, we know how important it is to receive your order quickly, and we prioritise dispatching it without delay. All orders placed Monday to Friday before 11:00 am are dispatched the same day, using the delivery option you select at checkout.

If there is an issue with any of the products you have ordered, we will contact you with an estimated restock date and offer the following options:

  • Wait for restock
  • Choose an alternative item
  • Request a full refund

Delivery Times & Carrier

Our standard service is Royal Mail Tracked 48, which aims to deliver in 2–3 working days. For faster delivery, we also offer Royal Mail Tracked 24, which aims to arrive within 1–2 working days.

Once your parcel has left us, it’s in the care of Royal Mail. While most deliveries arrive on time, please note that delivery times cannot be guaranteed, so we recommend ordering early to allow for any unexpected delays.

If your parcel hasn’t arrived when expected, please check your tracking link first. If you still need help, our friendly team will be happy to assist.

Shipping Costs & Free Delivery

  • Standard UK shipping is (Royal Mail Tracked 48) at a flat rate of £3.50.
  • We offer free UK shipping on all orders over £50.00.
  • Some items may qualify for free shipping, as stated on their product pages.

Next Day Delivery (Royal Mail Tracked 24)

We offer next day delivery for eligible orders using Royal Mail Tracked 24, subject to the following conditions:

  • Order Cut-Off Time: Next day delivery is available for orders placed before 11:00 am Monday to Friday. Orders placed after this time will be shipped the next business day.
  • Exclusions: Some oversized items, such as large cutting mats and wadding rolls, cannot be shipped via next-day delivery. If your order includes an ineligible item, we will contact you with alternative options.
  • Tracked 24 Cost:
    • Orders under £50: £5.00 shipping fee
    • Orders over £50: £1.50 additional fee on top of free standard shipping
  • Service Disclaimer:
    • Royal Mail Tracked 24 is an estimated next-day service, not a guaranteed next-day delivery. While 99% of orders arrive within 24 hours, occasional delays may occur.
    • If an order is dispatched on time but delayed by Royal Mail, we do not refund the additional next-day shipping fee.
    • If the delay is due to our error (e.g., late dispatch or incorrect shipping method), we will refund the full shipping fee paid.

Wadding Roll Orders

Due to storage limitations, we may not always have 7.5m+ wadding rolls immediately available for dispatch.

  • These orders are usually shipped within 1–3 business days.
  • Delivery for wadding rolls typically takes 2–5 business days.
  • If we expect delays, we will contact you to discuss options.

Shipping Address & Delivery Issues

  • We ship orders to the exact address provided by the customer at checkout. This address is used as entered and is not altered by us or Royal Mail.
  • If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, we will contact the customer to arrange re-delivery.
  • If the address error was made by the customer, an additional postage fee will be required to re-ship the order.

Public Holidays and Non-Operational Days:

Royal Mail does not collect or deliver on UK public holidays (e.g., Good Friday, Easter Monday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, etc.). Our delivery estimates, including Tracked 24 (Next Day) and Tracked 48, are based on Royal Mail’s operational days. Orders placed during or immediately before a public holiday will be dispatched on the next available working day and delivered accordingly.

Orders Not Received

We understand how frustrating it can be when a parcel doesn’t arrive on time. Rest assured, we’re here to help!

What to Do If Your Order Hasn’t Arrived

  1. Check your tracking information: When your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking details.
  2. Allow for potential delays:
    • Royal Mail Tracked 48 has an estimated delivery of 2 business days, but sometimes delays occur.
    • If your order has not arrived within 5 business days of dispatch, please contact us.
  3. Investigation & Refund Process:
    • We will contact Royal Mail to track the parcel and provide updates.
    • If your order has not arrived within 2 weeks of dispatch, we will issue a full refund or send a replacement.

Returns Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you need to return an item, we offer a 30-day return policy for most products, provided they are in the same condition as when they were shipped (i.e. unused, unwashed, and in original packaging where applicable).

Items That Cannot Be Returned

Please note that certain products are non-returnable unless faulty or cut incorrectly:

  • Cut-to-length items such as fabric, wadding, webbing, zips, etc

  • Digital products (e.g. downloadable patterns or guides)

These are considered custom or digital goods and are only returnable if defective or cut to the wrong length. Pre-cut items such as kits, fat quarter bundles, or strip roll sets may be returned, provided they are in the original packaging and condition supplied.

If you believe a cut length has been supplied incorrectly, we will review our packing footage to confirm and will re-ship the correct length at no extra cost. Please note that if the correct length has been supplied, returns will not be accepted once the fabric or wadding has been cut or altered by the customer.

How to Return an Item

  1. Contact Us: To initiate a return, please contact us with your order number, details of the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.

  2. Return Shipping:

  • If the return is due to our error (e.g. incorrect or defective item), we will provide a pre-paid shipping label and arrange for Royal Mail to collect your parcel.
  • If the return is for another reason (e.g. change of mind, ordered the wrong item), the customer is responsible for return postage costs.
  1. Processing Your Refund:

  • Once we receive the returned item(s), we will process your refund within 1-2 business days.
  • If you cancel an order before it has been shipped, the refund will be processed immediately.

Your Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

Under UK law, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.

  • To do so, you must notify us by email or via our contact form, including your name, order number, and the item(s) you wish to return.

  • If the goods have already been dispatched, you are legally required to retain possession and take reasonable care of them until they are returned.

  • You will be responsible for the return postage costs unless the item is faulty.

  • Once we receive the returned goods, we will issue a full refund for the goods purchased. Please note: the initial postage paid will not be refunded unless the goods were faulty.

Exemptions: The right to cancel does not apply to custom goods such as cut-to-length fabric, wadding, zips, webbing, or digital products (e.g. downloadable patterns), which cannot be returned unless faulty.
