Mushrooms Denim from the Whimsical Fields collection by Nutex features an eclectic gathering of illustrated mushrooms and toadstools scattered across a softly textured denim blue background. From familiar red spotted toadstools to tall, slender fungi and striking black and white caps, the variety of shapes, colours and sizes gives this print plenty of character while retaining the light-hearted feel of the collection.
The mushrooms appear in warm rust, burnt orange, coral, cream, taupe, black and white, interspersed with small green leaves and delicate botanical sprigs. Some stand alone while others grow in little groups, creating a relaxed, naturally scattered layout. The denim blue ground provides a lovely contrast to the warmer tones and gives the fabric an appealing depth without feeling dark.
Printed on 100% cotton with a weight of approximately 145gsm, Mushrooms Denim is suitable for patchwork and quilting, bag making, accessories, cushions and other home décor sewing. The varied scale and distinctive shapes of the fungi make this a particularly enjoyable fabric for fussy cutting. Individual mushrooms can be framed within quilt blocks or English paper piecing, while the larger repeat is characterful enough for feature panels, pockets and bag exteriors.
Combine it with other fabrics from the Whimsical Fields collection to continue the meadow and woodland theme, or pair it with denim blue, orange, rust, green, cream and black blenders. Care
This fabric is 100% cotton with a printed design. Manufacturer recommends to wash at 30 degrees or cooler. This fabric can be tumble dried on low-medium heat. The estimated shrinkage is between 3 - 5%.
