Part of the Aurifil 8wt Collection, this shade brings a whisper of softness to quilting, embroidery, and decorative hand sewing.
Aurifil’s 8wt thread is the heaviest 2-ply thread in their cotton range, spun from 100% long-staple Egyptian Mako cotton. Mercerised for a silky sheen and enhanced durability, it offers a smoother, lower-lint alternative to traditional #8 Perle cotton—making it ideal for big stitch quilting, Sashiko, visible mending, or adding detail to accessories and garments.
Light Lilac pairs beautifully with florals, pastels, and low-volume prints. It adds subtle definition to outlines or stitch motifs, especially on neutral or soft-toned backgrounds. With its gentle shimmer and elegant tone, it enhances without overpowering, making it a popular choice for thoughtful detailing.

Washing Instructions:
- Machine wash in cold to warm water - no more than 70C / 160F
- Tumble dry at low to no heat
- Iron on low heat
- Can be laundered with bleach (if necessary) in cold water only
