This 8wt thread is Aurifil’s heaviest two-ply option, spun from 100% long-staple Egyptian Mako cotton and mercerised for added strength and sheen. It glides easily through fabric, minimising tangles and lint, while delivering the presence and structure prized in big stitch quilting, Sashiko, and embellishment techniques.

Washing Instructions:
- Machine wash in cold to warm water - no more than 70C / 160F
- Tumble dry at low to no heat
- Iron on low heat
- Can be laundered with bleach (if necessary) in cold water only
