Fabric Remnants

Image of fabric remnant neatly stackedOur remnants are real quilting fabric, sold by the piece rather than the metre — odd lengths, end-of-bolt cuts, and offcuts from our main collection. All the same quality you'd expect from Morris Works, just in non-standard sizes. Each listing shows the dimensions clearly, so you'll always know what you're getting.

This section changes regularly, which means there's always something a little different to discover. Every piece is priced at 20% off the regular metre rate — a lovely way to add to your stash without a big commitment. And sometimes that's all it takes — a few unexpected pieces landing alongside what you already have, and suddenly half your stash looks interesting again.

Remnants are also genuinely brilliant for:

  • Scrappy & improv quilts — where variety in the pile is the whole point, and no two blocks need to match
  • EPP & appliqué — small, precise shapes that never need much fabric at a time
  • Doll clothes and miniatures — where a remnant goes a surprisingly long way
  • Kawandi and hand-stitching projects — where small, varied pieces are exactly what you need
  • Adding to your stash — because a well-stocked scrap collection has a habit of inspiring projects you hadn't even thought of yet

Because remnants come from our live stock, availability shifts constantly. If you spot something you love, it's worth not waiting — once it's gone, it's gone. We add new pieces regularly, so it's always worth a browse even if you've looked recently.

Fabric Remnants - Frequently Asked Questions

Remnants are pieces of fabric sold by the piece rather than cut to order by the metre. They come from the end of bolts, non-standard lengths, and offcuts from our main stock. All the same quality — just in smaller or irregular amounts.
Yes, absolutely. Remnants are the same quilting cotton we stock throughout the shop. The only difference is the size or cut — not the fabric itself.
Sizes vary, and each listing will show the dimensions clearly. There's no standard — that's what makes them interesting. Pieces range from generous half-metre lengths down to smaller offcuts.
That depends on the size of the piece and the project. For larger quilts you'd typically combine remnants with other fabrics from your stash, or use them as accent pieces. For smaller projects like Kawandi quilts, table runners, mini quilts, or cushion covers, a remnant can often be all you need.
Yes — this section updates as our stock changes, so there's always something new coming in. If you're looking for something specific, it's worth checking back regularly or getting in touch.
As with all our cut fabric, remnants are non-returnable. If you have any concerns about a piece when it arrives, please get in touch and we'll always do our best to help.
Honestly? No. Remnants are one-off pieces and once they're gone, they're gone. If something catches your eye, it's usually worth adding it to your basket while you can.
