Rosewater Garden: Soft Florals in a Delicate Liberty Palette
Blush pink, powder blue and gentle garden greens come together in Rosewater Garden, a five-piece fat quarter bundle curated in-house at Morris Works with fabrics from Liberty’s Everlasting Collection.
This is a beautifully soft colour story, filled with the shades of a summer garden. Pale pink provides a gentle foundation, complemented by fresh blue, lavender, leafy green and small touches of warm yellow and coral. Light cream backgrounds keep the bundle airy, while the different floral scales add interest without disturbing its wonderfully harmonious feel.
Across the five fabrics you’ll find scattered blossoms, delicate trailing botanicals and densely packed florals, giving Rosewater Garden plenty of variety for patchwork. The palette lends itself beautifully to quilts with a softer, lighter feel, whether used on its own or combined with coordinating plains and subtle blenders. It would be equally at home in English Paper Piecing, cushions, table runners, wall hangings and other decorative patchwork.
For smaller projects, the mix of delicate florals makes a lovely choice for bags, pouches, needle cases, fabric baskets and sewing accessories, with enough variation between the prints to create contrast while keeping the finished project cohesive.
Each bundle has been curated and cut in our Morris Works studio, bringing together five coordinating Liberty fabrics without the need to select them individually. Every fat quarter measures approximately 20" x 22" (50 x 56cm) and is cut from Liberty’s 100% cotton Lasenby Cotton, a premium quilting-weight fabric with a smooth handle and weight of approximately 145gsm.
