Aurifil’s 8wt thread is their heaviest weight cotton, spun from long-staple Egyptian Mako fibres and mercerised for strength, sheen, and smooth stitching. It glides effortlessly through fabric with minimal tangles, making it a joy to use for handwork, embellishment, redwork, and visible mending.

Recommended Hand Needles: Crewel Size 5 / Tapestry Size 24 or 26
Washing Instructions:
- Machine wash in cold to warm water - no more than 70C / 160F
- Tumble dry at low to no heat
- Iron on low heat
- Can be laundered with bleach (if necessary) in cold water only
