Marigold & Poppy: A Warm and Colourful Liberty Garden
Golden yellows, glowing orange and vibrant poppy red give Marigold & Poppy its wonderfully warm personality. Curated in-house at Morris Works with fabrics from Liberty’s Everlasting Collection, this five-piece fat quarter bundle brings together bold florals and smaller-scale prints in a rich, cheerful colour story.
The palette moves through marigold, honey and warm ochre into vivid red, softened with touches of pink, cream, turquoise and blue-green. There’s plenty of variety in the prints too, from abundant florals and graceful botanical motifs to tiny scattered designs and a charming floral stripe. Together, the five fabrics have a slightly nostalgic feel while remaining fresh and wonderfully easy to sew with.
Marigold & Poppy is a lovely choice for patchwork where you want warmth and colour to take centre stage. Use the fabrics together in quilt blocks, English Paper Piecing, cushions, table runners and wall hangings, or add coordinating plains and subtle blenders to expand the palette into a larger quilt. The combination of large and small-scale designs also makes this bundle particularly useful for bags, pouches, fabric baskets and smaller sewing projects.
Each bundle has been curated and cut in our Morris Works studio, bringing together five coordinating Liberty fabrics without the need to select them individually. Every fat quarter measures approximately 20" x 22" (50 x 56cm) and is cut from Liberty’s 100% cotton Lasenby Cotton, a premium quilting-weight fabric with a smooth handle and weight of approximately 145gsm.
