The Little Ladies 2½" Strip Roll by Tami Jones for Andover Fabrics is bursting with cheerful colour, playful pattern and, of course, plenty of little ladybirds.
Little Ladies is Tami Jones's first fabric collection, inspired by her twin daughters and the happiness they have brought to her family. That joyful spirit runs right through the designs, with bright ladybirds, daisies, tiny hearts, colourful garden florals, gingham checks, dots and whimsical looping heart motifs.
The palette is every bit as happy as the prints. Fresh pinks and lilacs mingle with sunny yellow, apple green and sky blue, balanced by crisp white and touches of black that give the brighter colours plenty of definition. Some prints put the ladybirds firmly centre stage, while smaller florals, checks, dots and heart designs provide useful coordinates for patchwork.
This manufacturer-cut strip roll contains 40 strips, each measuring 2½" x width of fabric. The ready-cut format makes it a lovely choice for strip-pieced quilts, log cabins, rail fence blocks, borders and patterns designed specifically for 2½" strips.
With its mix of playful motifs and easy-to-use coordinates, Little Ladies would be particularly lovely for children's quilts, cheerful patchwork bags, cushions and other projects where a little colour and fun are called for.
