Garland by Laundry Basket Quilts for Andover Fabrics is a wonderfully versatile collection of textured colour. A fine herringbone-style print runs throughout the range, adding depth and movement while allowing each fabric to work much like a solid.
This manufacturer-cut pack contains 42 squares measuring 10" x 10", with colours ranging from coral, blush and soft red through warm golds, earthy browns and creamy neutrals, balanced by fresh green, sage and deeper blue-green shades.
The larger 10" format gives you plenty of fabric to work with while keeping Garland's carefully coordinated palette together. Use the squares whole for simple patchwork, cut them into half-square or quarter-square triangles, or combine them with prints already in your stash. The mix of light, medium and deeper values makes the collection particularly useful for quilt designs where contrast and colour placement do much of the work.
A lovely choice when you want the versatility of solids, but with just enough printed texture to add another layer of interest.
