Colourful cats full of personality in a playful illustrated print
Cool Cats by Nutex is a wonderfully playful novelty print filled with colourful cats in an assortment of poses, personalities and bright colour combinations. Sitting, stretching, leaping and lounging across the fabric, the illustrated cats appear in vibrant shades of orange, blue, purple, green, turquoise, yellow and red against a fresh white and softly textured pale grey background.
There are plenty of smaller details tucked between the feline characters too. Tiny birds, dragonflies, ladybirds, flowers, leaves and stars add interest to the spaces between the larger motifs, creating a lively design with something new to notice each time you look. The loose, multidirectional arrangement makes the fabric particularly versatile for patchwork, while the individual cats provide lots of opportunities for fussy cutting.
Printed on 100% cotton with a weight of approximately 145gsm, Cool Cats is well suited to patchwork and quilting, bag making, accessories, cushions and general craft sewing. Individual cats could become the centre of quilt blocks or English paper piecing, while the larger print would make a cheerful quilt backing, bag exterior or feature panel. It is also a fun choice for children's projects and handmade gifts for cat lovers without feeling restricted to children's sewing.
With so many colours within the design, coordinating Cool Cats is particularly easy. Pick out turquoise, royal blue, purple, orange, lime, yellow or red with coordinating blenders, or use black, white and grey to give the brighter characters plenty of room to stand out. Small-scale spots, stripes and simple geometric prints would also work beautifully alongside it.

This fabric is sold by the ¼ metre, to order 1 full metre, enter a quantity of 4. Quantities of 2 or more will be cut as one continuous piece.
If ordering only ¼ metre, please be sure to select if you would like a Long Quarter or Fat Quarter cut. Please see illustration below if unsure.

All quantities greater than 1 metre of fabric are cut to metric measurement. For example, 1.25 metre is cut to 49.2 inches / 125cm.
Care
This fabric is 100% cotton with a printed design. Manufacturer recommends to wash at 30 degrees or cooler. This fabric can be tumble dried on low-medium heat. The estimated shrinkage is between 3 - 5%.
