Bond Street Tote Bag Making Kit
We’re so excited to have teamed up with Natalie from @eightgreylines to bring you the Bond Street Tote Bag Kit—a beautifully designed, ready-to-sew project that’s perfect for quilters looking for a fun, satisfying make between larger projects. It also makes a thoughtful gift, whether for a friend or just for yourself!
Why “Bond Street Tote”?
The name comes from Bond Street in Brighton, UK—one of the city’s iconic shopping streets. Both Natalie and Morris Works are based here, so it felt like the perfect name for a tote that’s ideal for shopping trips. With two strap lengths (short for hand-carrying and long for over-the-shoulder), plus a handy front pocket for essentials or a water bottle, it’s as practical as it is stylish.
Materials & Construction
Made from high-quality quilting cotton and fully lined, the tote includes a medium-weight stabilizer for added durability and a heavyweight bag batting to give the base structure and strength. The construction is straightforward, and the step-by-step instructions walk you through each stage—from assembling the body and pocket to boxing the corners, adding the lining, and finishing with topstitching for a professional look.
