Beach Huts by Nutex brings together all the familiar details of a day by the sea in a colourful illustrated print. Rows of characterful beach huts are scattered across a warm sandy cream background, accompanied by striped deckchairs, seagulls, little shore birds, crabs and sandcastles. The result is a playful coastal fabric with plenty to discover across the design.
The beach huts are the stars of the print, each with its own combination of stripes, painted doors and seaside colours. Turquoise, green, coral, blue, red and yellow give the design a lively feel, while the softer watercolour-style illustration keeps the overall effect relaxed rather than overly bright. Deckchairs in coordinating stripes add another classic seaside motif, while the birds, crabs and small sandy details create the feeling of a busy summer beach.
Made from 100% cotton with a weight of approximately 145gsm, Beach Huts is a versatile quilting cotton suited to patchwork, quilting, bag making, accessories and home décor sewing. The individual huts and seaside motifs also offer plenty of possibilities for fussy cutting, whether used in feature quilt blocks, English paper piecing, pockets or smaller handmade accessories.
This beach hut quilting fabric would work beautifully for coastal quilts, seaside-themed cushions, bunting, tote bags, picnic accessories and projects for a beach house or caravan. Its warm cream ground makes it easy to coordinate while allowing the colourful illustrations to stand out.
Pair Beach Huts with blues, aquas, sandy neutrals, coral, red or fresh green blenders. Stripes and simple geometric prints would also make excellent companions, echoing the deckchairs and painted beach huts while providing contrast to the detailed illustrated design.

This fabric is sold by the ¼ metre, to order 1 full metre, enter a quantity of 4. Quantities of 2 or more will be cut as one continuous piece.

All quantities greater than 1 metre of fabric are cut to metric measurement. For example, 1.25 metre is cut to 49.2 inches / 125cm.
Care
This fabric is 100% cotton with a printed design. Manufacturer recommends to wash at 30 degrees or cooler. This fabric can be tumble dried on low-medium heat. The estimated shrinkage is between 3 - 5%.
