The cotton undergoes a meticulous mechanical cleaning to eliminate seeds, seed coats, and the majority of leaf and stem residues. This Warm & Natural wadding, at 90” wide, is perfectly suited for mid to larger quilting projects. It can be cut to length by the ½ metre in one continuous length, allowing you total freedom in determining the size of your project. Quilt or tie up to 10" apart, utilising Warm & Natural right out of the package, without the need for pre-washing. Machine wash and dry your finished quilt in cold water for minimal shrinkage, or use warm water for a charming antique puckered look. Warm & Natural is versatile and stable, resisting distortion when hanging, hooping, or used in quilt frames.
Needlepunch Wadding Benefits
This needlepunch wadding is crafted to bring a plethora of advantages to your quilting experience. Warm & Natural will not separate, bunch, shift, migrate or beard, making your quilting journey hassle-free. It contains no resins or glues and can be quilted or tied leaving up to 10" open. Once quilted, Warm & Natural is conveniently machine washable and dryable. This makes it an ideal option for projects that call for 100% cotton batting.
Optional Pre-Wash Instructions
Note that this step is optional. Expect a 3-5% shrinkage with the first wash. Use cold water to reduce shrinkage amount.
- Hand Wash mild detergent. Do not agitate or spin in washer.
- Soak for 20 minutes, rinse several times.
- Squeeze out water. DO NOT WRING. Rolling in a towel helps.
- We recommend you lay flat to air dry but you may also tumble dry low.

Quilting DistancePlease ensure your quilting distance is no wider than 10 inches (25cm) apart.
Optional Pre-Wash Instructions
If you choose to prewash, please ensure this is done by hand in cold to warm water. Do not pre-wash in washing machine.

Washing Instructions for Finished Quilt
Always wash in cold or cool water. Expect additional shrinkage if washed in warm water. Not recommended to wash in hot water.
It is recommended to air dry, though a finished quilted item can be tumble dried in a drier air to warm setting.
