Zig Zag Stripe Pink by Nutex is a lively small-scale stripe from the Smitten Chicken Collection. Fine wavy lines run across a soft pink background in alternating shades of red, deeper pink and white, creating a simple coordinate with plenty of movement.
Rather than a traditional straight stripe, the tiny zig zag effect gives the design a softer, more playful character. The closely spaced lines create subtle texture when viewed from a distance, while the individual colours become more apparent up close.
Made from 100% cotton with a weight of approximately 145gsm, Zig Zag Stripe Pink is well suited to patchwork and quilting, bag making, accessories and home décor sewing. Its small-scale pattern makes it particularly useful for quilt blocks, borders, binding and sashing, where the directional design can be used to add another layer of interest.
Within the Smitten Chicken Collection, the combination of pink, red and white ties neatly into the collection's florals, ginghams and novelty coordinates. It works especially well alongside Tiny Flowers Pink, Daisy Gingham Pink and the red prints, helping to bridge the different shades across a project.
It's also an easy fabric to use beyond the collection. Pair it with florals, novelty prints or plains when you want the structure of a stripe without anything too formal, or use it for binding to create a lovely little wavy detail around the edge of a quilt.

This fabric is sold by the ¼ metre, to order 1 full metre, enter a quantity of 4. Quantities of 2 or more will be cut as one continuous piece.
If ordering only ¼ metre, please be sure to select if you would like a Long Quarter or Fat Quarter cut. Please see illustration below if unsure.

All quantities greater than 1 metre of fabric are cut to metric measurement. For example, 1.25 metre is cut to 49.2 inches / 125cm.
Care
This fabric is 100% cotton with a printed design. Manufacturer recommends to wash at 30 degrees or cooler. This fabric can be tumble dried on low-medium heat. The estimated shrinkage is between 3 - 5%.
